Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support multiple school districts within Washington County, Pennsylvania. This contract position offers the chance to work with a K-12 caseload, delivering specialized instruction to students with visual impairments. The role requires a dynamic educator who is comfortable traveling between various school sites throughout the county.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct instructional services to students with visual impairments across multiple districts.Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students specific needs.Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success.Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning.Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by district policies.Travel between assigned schools to deliver onsite services.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) educator certification.Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired.Strong communication and organizational skills.Flexibility and reliability in traveling between multiple educational sites.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse school teams.Location: Washington County, PA (multiple districts)Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekDuration: Immediate start through June 16, 2026This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated TVI professional who thrives in a varied and hands-on educational environment.
