BAE provides ABA therapy to individuals with autism and other neurodiversities.
Behavior Technicians work with clients in school, home, and clinic settings to follow an ABA treatment plan to improve the client's functioning and skillset. Whether you are new to ABA or continuing in your practice, you will learn, grow, and advance your professional career within BAE.
BAE offers Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification for our Behavior Technicians and covers all costs associated with getting and maintaining certification.
Advanced behavior technicians who are working towards BCBA certification are eligible to apply to our Behavior Consultant supervised fieldwork position, leading towards a career as a BCBA.
The Behavior Technician Mission
Understand and apply the foundational techniques of applied behavior analysis
Implement ABA treatment programs under the design and supervision of a BCBA
Use clinical judgment throughout session to adjust techniques for best learning outcomes
Offer parent training in a helpful and nonjudgmental partnership with caregivers
Choose approaches that are respectful, age appropriate, and motivating
Use a compassionate manner to de-escalate and diffuse, and get back to learning
Prioritize functional communication and developing replacement behaviors
Implement goals and collect data with fidelity
Communicate frequently and proactively with team members
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in psychology, child development, education, or another human services field
Experience working with individuals of various ages and disabilities
Must be comfortable driving at least a 10 mile radius
Ability to move quickly and engage in physical interventions when needed (specifically requires agility to bend/stoop, lift/hold up to 50 lbs, and to physically support the client's weight using appropriate procedures and team supports)
