This business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines.The Purchasing Agent will report directly to Richards’ Supply Chain Manager.They Will Be Responsible For The FollowingPurchasing direct and indirect commodities and/or services and delivering the best overall business valueContinually working to improve quality, delivery, and costs of products and servicesAssuring problems related to delivery, quality, or pricing are properly resolved Issue Purchase orders from ERP system with correct GL codes assignedMaintain up to date records on vendor terms, pricing, special requirements or agreements.Ensure proper inventory levels of assigned commodities to meet on time delivery requirementsEnsure orders are up to date in systemReview invoices for purchased commodities and ensure documentation is correctUtilize material requirement planning systems Qualifications IncludeBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experienceExcel knowledge Negotiation and communication skills Ability to adapt communication and management styles depending on vendor personalities Attention to detail Knowledge of MRP, PC, and database programs Personal CharacteristicsStrong work ethicCalm and resilientOrganized and detail-oriented Motivated and proactiveDisciplinedCommitted to meeting customer needs and providing exceptional serviceCommitted to Continuous ImprovementOutstanding Problem SolverAdaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic work environmentWhy would this role be exciting for me?Richards is a profitable, thriving company that’s investing for growthCareer development is important for usThis is an opportunity to join a talented, hard-working team that’s pushing itself to be the best it can beThe opportunity to create effective marketing strategies that lead to significant sales growth, new business partnerships and enhanced brand reputationWe give back to the community through philanthropy and community serviceRichards Industrials firmly supports the principle and philosophy of equal opportunity for all individuals.
