This contract opportunity seeks a registered nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to support complex cardiac surgeries at a leading medical center.LocationBased in Lenexa, KS, this position is close to the vibrant Kansas City metropolitan area, offering a blend of urban amenities and suburban comfort with easy access to shopping, dining, and recreational parks.ResponsibilitiesDeliver expert perioperative nursing care during cardiovascular surgeries, including scrub and circulating dutiesCollaborate efficiently with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma center environmentMaintain patient safety, monitor sterile field, and manage surgical instrumentation throughout proceduresParticipate in holiday and weekend call rotations as requiredFlexibility to float between Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD departmentsQualifications & ExperienceActive Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) licenseMinimum 2 years' experience in CVOR nursing in a Level 1 trauma centerStrong experience in scrub roles for cardiac surgeries combined with circulating expertiseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAbility to work 10-hour day shifts, four days per week (06:30-17:00)Willingness to work holidays and on-call shifts as scheduledUnderstanding and adherence to nicotine-free facility policiesContract DetailsFull-time, 40 hours per week, contract positionBi-weekly pay with an 8-hour non-billable orientationClient reserves the right to cancel up to two shifts per month with minimum noticeNicotine-free facility environment
