Account Executive
Job Title: Account ExecutiveDepartment: SalesFLSA Status: ExemptSupervisory Responsibilities: NoSummary:The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for managing all account and project activity within assigned accounts and will be the clients' key contact for all day-to-day business. The AE role will secure both product and service contracts, assist with strategic and tactical issues, and provide a leadership role on all major new business initiatives.Responsibilities and Duties:Maximize sales volume within your accounts with a strong gross margin, minimize mistakes and errors which negatively affect profitability and customer satisfactionDeepen customer relationships and increase our market share within your accountsOpen new accounts within the market and drive specific assigned competitively held target accountsDevelop and maintain a strong professional network to help you identify potential opportunities and become better connected within our business communityRequired to implement complex sales and achieve higher than expected results by working effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within an organization to address all needs and concernsLead project proposal team, generate customer quotations and write ordersCoordinate appropriate resources to establish, maintain, and enhance our position within assigned accountsIdentify customer needs by acting as a resource to respond quickly and professionally while adhering to established procedure for conducting business in a courteous manner that supports our customer service philosophyDevelop a yearly business planCreate account profiles for all key accounts, maintain comprehensive CRM database with leads, opportunities and monthly 30/60/90 forecastMonitor detailed status reports with Customer Service on all account activity including all open orders and invoicingAttend all required Sales meetings and trainingsMaintain knowledge of current products, services, issues and design concepts, trends and applications relating to COR's products and services and the contract furniture industryAssist Accounts Receivable with collections as requiredAdditional duties as requiredThese responsibilities are not designed to cover all responsibilities required of the employee. All duties and responsibilities may change at the discretion of Creative Office Resources at any time with or without notice.Required Education, Skills, and Experience:4 year degree, concentration in Marketing or Business preferred2-5 years of work experience - industry experience extremely helpfulValid driver's license and personal vehicle requiredStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people within and outside of COR:Must be able to read, write, interpret and communicate fluently in EnglishWriting skills must be sufficient to compose and edit a variety of documents using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation with the ability to pay close attention to detail and proofread work carefullyStrong Microsoft Office Suite with ability to learn and use new computer programs/applicationsGood organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills:Ability to work accurately to meet deadlines by adapting to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities in a flexible way by working from your own initiative and/or following direction, policies, or proceduresUse analytical and decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems in a variety of contextsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team ensuring efficiency of projects from start to finishAbility to read and understand floor plans and other related technical drawingsExercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion in handling confidential materials and matters as well as highly complex sales challengesPhysical Demands:Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standingRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingersWork Environment:Work performed in fast-paced office environment daily with visits to various sites including warehouse, construction sites, client sites and officesEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
