About the Role
This is a leadership role for an experienced I&C professional who enjoys working on major power infrastructure projects across Florida. If you like moving from project to project, taking ownership in the field, and leading complex I&C work in different infrastructure settings, this role was built for you.
You'll be a key field leader on utility and government scale projects , supporting electric utilities and municipalities throughout the region.
What You'll Do
Lead all I&C field activities on water treatment, wastewater, power plants, BESS, and other electrical industrial projects
Act as the on-site I&C authority , ensuring work is executed safely, accurately, and efficiently
Travel extensively throughout Florida supporting multiple projects
Supervise and mentor I&C technicians while coordinating with PMs, engineers, and clients
Install, test, troubleshoot, and support:
Protection & Control panels
Relays, meters, RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
Review and markup drawings, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and control narratives
Support outage activities, testing, and commissioning
Create schedule outlining multi week plans
Create cut over plans to maintain power to critical equipment
Create test plans that follows the solicitation documents
Enforce company safety, quality, and client standards (NEC, NESC, client specs)
What We're Looking For
7+ years of I&C experience, ideally in medium-voltage power or utility environments
Strong background in switch gear, I&C or protection & control
Proven experience leading crews in the field
Comfortable working travel-heavy schedules and rotating between job sites
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Preferred (Not Required):
Water Treatment / Wastewater
BESS experience
Relay testing or commissioning experience
PLC/SCADA experience
NICET, journeyman license, or similar certifications
