Role Description: The Timberlane Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is responsible for growing existing accounts and finding new business growth selling our product lines directly to builders, remodelers, GC’s, dealer/installers. Additionally, the OSR will call on architects and designers to provide awareness, get our product specified and create pull-thru demand.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
Build and support customer relationships in all channels, a Timberlane ambassador in the field.
Travel within your territory to call on contractor offices and job sites for new business.
Gain comprehensive product, material and competitive knowledge.
Leverage our brand reputation and turnkey services to maximize share of wallet.
Collaborate with the inside sales team to maximize company sales.
Work independently and in a team, supporting other sales associates.
Effectively communicate concepts and strategies to exceed sales plans through weekly recaps and strategy meetings.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills and professionalism in managing difficult situations.
Participate in company events, attend training programs, and represent the company at trade association meetings and shows.
Accurately meet customer needs and submit orders based on manufacturing lead times.
Prepare and qualify quotes and orders in collaboration with the inside sales team.
Manage your open quotes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret material lists from plans or blueprints.
Excellent communication skills for building trusting relationships.
Safety mindset, specifically driving and on job sites.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce CRM.
Mature and self-motivated.
Open to cross-training.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience.
Minimum 2 years in the building supply &/or construction industry.
Architect experience and working with premium products is a plus.
High school diploma or GED equivalent minimum, some college preferred.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting in car or standing.

Schedule: Travel 85% of the time to customer offices and job sites within the territory Monday through Friday. Some overnight travel and occasional weekends (tradeshows) required. Territory is PA, NJ, NY, MD and DE
Pay Range: Commensurate with experience. Base salary plus competitive commission structure.

Compensation Package:
Base Salary of $60k/year plus Commission
First year OTE $100k - $150k
Reimbursed expenses including mileage
