As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining packaging machinery to ensure the efficient and accurate packaging of products. You will work in a manufacturing or production environment, collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and maintain product quality. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up packaging machines before the production process. This includes adjusting settings, calibrating equipment, and ensuring the correct packaging materials are in place.
Operate packaging machinery, monitor the production process, and make real-time adjustments as needed to maintain the speed, quality, and efficiency of the packaging process.
Inspect packaged products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. Take corrective actions to address any issues that may arise during the packaging process.
Load packaging materials (such as containers, labels, or films) onto the machines and replenish supplies as needed. Monitor and manage material levels to prevent production interruptions.
Perform routine maintenance on packaging machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary to ensure proper machine functionality.
Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or operational issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
Maintain accurate production records, including data on machine settings, production volumes, and product specifications.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a packaging machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Basic knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
