Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Kitchen Manager to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations
Ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards
Help manage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies
Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas
Monitor food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and development of new recipes
Support cost control measures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
