Electrical Design Engineer (Engineer/Senior/Principal)

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Engineer/Senior/Principal)Company: AcceleratedPMJob Type: Full-timeJob Location: Greenville, SCWork Schedule: Full time on-siteAcceleratedPM is seeking Electrical Design Engineers across multiple experience levels (Engineer, Senior, and Principal) to support large-scale industrial projects. This role is responsible for the design, analysis, and execution of electrical systems across all phases of a project, from initial design through construction and startup.Depending on experience, candidates may serve as individual contributors or provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and design teams.Key Responsibilities:Develop and review electrical design criteria, specifications, and engineering deliverables.Perform and check electrical engineering calculations and analyses.Design and develop electrical systems, including single-line diagrams; schematics and wiring diagrams; and raceway, grounding, and lighting systems.Perform system studies such as short circuit, load flow, motor starting, harmonics, and relay coordination.Prepare and review electrical design documents and system descriptions.Support procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations and vendor submittals.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and clients.Support construction activities, including RFIs and field changes.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.Additional Responsibilities (Senior/Principal Levels):Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers.Lead discipline-specific project areas and ensure technical quality.Support development of estimates, schedules, and resource forecasting.Interface with clients and stakeholders on technical matters.Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide strategic solutions.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power preferred).U.S. Citizenship required.Experience levels: Engineer: 5+ years, Senior Engineer: 10+ years, Principal Engineer: 15+ years.Experience supporting large industrial or infrastructure projects.Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license.Experience supporting federal or government projects.Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, energy, manufacturing).Proficiency with: power system analysis tools (e.g., ETAP or similar), and electrical design and modeling software (e.g., Smart3D, AutoCAD, Revit).Experience in multi-discipline engineering environments.Field and construction support experience. Salary: $160,000 to $230,000 per year, depending on experience.Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), health and dental insurance, and PTO for W2 employees.
