Job Title: Security OfficerLocation: UPS Facility – Miami Gardens, FLCompany: SMI SecurityPay Rate: $15.30 per hourPositions Available: 2Position OverviewSMI Security is currently seeking two dependable and professional Security Officers to work at the UPS facility in Miami Gardens. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the security industry. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors on site.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and patrol the UPS facility to ensure the safety and security of the property, personnel, and assets.Enforce UPS policies, site rules, and security procedures at all times.Control access to the facility by verifying identification and monitoring entry and exit points.Observe and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security incidents.Maintain a visible security presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.Provide professional customer service and assist employees, drivers, and visitors when needed.Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.Communicate effectively with supervisors, site management, and fellow security personnel.Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations following established procedures.Qualifications And RequirementsMust possess a valid Florida Security D License.Must be punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a consistent attendance record.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional during all shifts.Ability to follow instructions, security procedures, and company policies.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of time.Ability to observe surroundings and remain attentive throughout the shift.Ability to occasionally patrol the property as required.Hiring ProcessAll candidates must successfully complete the following before employment:In-person interview.Background check.Drug screening.Qualified candidates who are dependable, professional, and interested in starting a career in security are encouraged to apply and join the SMI Security team.
