Jboss Admin & Java developer

Overview In this role you will manage and optimize JBoss EAP environments, ensuring reliable middleware operations for Linux/UNIX systems. You will work closely with IT and development teams to deploy, monitor, and upgrade middleware components, contributing to system stability and performance at scale. The role combines admin duties with Java-related development tasks to keep services responsive and secure. This is a hands-on position with a clear impact on availability and operational excellence. ResponsibilitiesAdminister JBoss EAP6 in Linux/UNIX, both domain and standaloneInstall, configure, and upgrade JBoss EAP6; apply patches and security hardeningTroubleshoot outages, installation issues, and application code running on JBossIntegrate JBoss with Apache and databases; manage JMS messaging and loggingImplement proactive monitoring and health checks; backup/recovery planningConfigure security certificates and enforce security best practicesPlan capacity and scalability; implement clustering and high availabilityDevelop shell scripts for monitoring and automationSupport deployment pipelines and ongoing maintenance Key requirements6+ years of experience in middleware administrationStrong experience with JBoss EAP6 on Linux/UNIXExperience with web server and database integrationProficiency in Linux administration and SQL/Java basicsExperience in monitoring, security, and high-availability setupsBachelor in Computer Science/IT or equivalentExperience in JMS messaging and logging configurationShell scripting experience in UNIXJBoss EAP6Linux/UNIX administrationApache web server integrationSQL and JavaCore Java; Framework IO/MVC; Struts; WebService (SOAP/REST)Application Server (JBOSS, Tomcat)
