The Lee Group is hiring Material Handlers for a busy manufacturing facility in Suffolk, VA. This role is perfect for dependable individuals who take pride in safe material handling, maintaining organized work areas, and supporting production teams.As a Material Handler, you'll play an important part in daily production by transporting materials, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting equipment operators to keep workflow running efficiently.What You'll DoMove raw materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility using forklifts and pallet jacksSupport production teams by ensuring materials are available where and when they are neededMaintain a clean and organized pit and sanitation areaPerform sanitation tasks on equipment, work surfaces, and tools to maintain safety and quality standardsAssist with loading and unloading trucks while verifying inventory countsLabel, stage, and store materials according to established inventory proceduresDispose of waste materials properly while following company safety guidelinesAssist machine operators with basic tasks during the production process as neededWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments is helpful1–3 years of experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment preferredAbility to perform physical work including lifting 50–70 lbs when neededStrong attention to safety procedures and workplace cleanlinessBasic mechanical aptitude is a plusTeam-oriented mindset with dependable attendancePre-Employment RequirementsAll applicants must be willing to complete a drug screening and background check prior to hire.Why Work with The Lee Group?At The Lee Group, we believe in Aligning Talent, Growing Businesses, and Changing Lives.
