JOB SUMMARY: Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.Qualifications required:Appropriate licensure for special educationKnowledge in research-based best practices and differentiationPreference of having knowledge and experience in working with children with IEPs.Responsibilities:Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPsCreates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilitiesEncourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriateEmploys a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriateConducts and carries out educational assessmentsMaintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district proceduresStart Date: August 24th, 2026 (possibly start during new teacher week August 17th)New Teacher Orientation: August 24-27, 2026Rate of Pay: Pay will be prorated base on the number of student contact days. The Teacher contract salary rage for the 2026-2027 school year is $48,733 - $100,583 per year.Benefit Eligiblity: Determined according to calculated FTE per the teacher contract.New Prague Area Schools is a consistently growing district of 4,000 students, Pre K through 12.
