Welder

Description:This position will work within teams to weld aluminum and steel enclosed and aluminum open trailer framesFollowing health and safety rules, wear personal protective equipmentRead and correctly interpret work ordersProper operation of welding machines, grinders, torches, tape measures, squares, cranes and miter/chop sawsProficiency at reading and executing BOM's and blueprintsDemonstrate understanding and application of weld types (ex: Fillet, Seam, Spot, etc.)Demonstrate understanding and application of joint types (ex: Butt, Corner, Edge, Lap, Tee)Demonstrate understanding and application of weld pass positions (Push/Pull, Uphill/Downhill, etc)MIG Weld aluminumMIG Weld steelTIG Weld aluminumDemonstrate understanding and proper use of framing jigs for models and layoutsDemonstrate ability to perform within multiple workstations (Frame Table, Walls, Roof, Fab)Ensure correct axle placement and squarenessMeasure, square, and plumb linears prior to final weld placementsEnsure ramp doors/gates are installed plumb and square and function properlyGrind any raised welds in areas that will be covered by another flush mount material later (Skins, Roofing, Wood)Inspect work for completion prior to releasing to next cellStore tools and materials in proper locations when not in useMaintain clean shop floor between units and at the end of shiftRequirements:Use various power and hand tools, experience preferredRead and use a tape measureWillingness to cross-train between departmentsRead and follow work instructionsAble to work 40 - 50 hours a weekGood attendance is requiredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and twistingMust be able to move up to 75 pounds at timesPIbe168585a4cc-26289-40321570
