Assistant Director of Advancement
Job SummaryThe Assistant Director of Advancement supports the full lifecycle of public and private grants for the entire network, from prospecting through closeout. This role operationalizes the advancement and federal programs strategy set by the Executive Director of Advancement and Strategic Partnerships by managing day-to-day grant development, implementation, and compliance in partnership with regional, school, and support teams, with a particular focus on competitive private-sector philanthropy.Essential Functions GrantsandRequestsforSupport Managesthegrantsandrequestsfor support pipeline, including researching and vetting opportunities, monitoring calendars and deadlines, and maintaining an up-to-date pipeline aligned to organizational priorities. Leadscoordination,drafting,andsubmissionofcompetitivegrantproposalsand requests for support, including letters of inquiry, full applications, and requiredattachments Collectsandsynthesizesinformationfromregionaldirectors,principals,andsupport teams to build strong rationales, project designs, budgets, and narratives Coordinatespost-awardconditions,revisions,anddocumentationrequiredtomove awards from notification to full execution. Owns grant renewals and resubmissions, including tracking renewal of timelines, updatingnarrativesanddata,andaligningwithevolvingschoolandregionalneeds. ProgramImplementationandSchoolSupport Serves as a primary point of contact for school and regional leaders on grant-funded programs,helpingthemunderstandallowableuses,keydeadlines,andrequirements. Supportsprincipals,regionaldirectors,anddistrictrepresentativesinplanninghow grant funds will be used to advance school and network priorities. Facilitatesroutinecheck-inswithschools/regionaldirectorstomonitorprogresson grant-funded initiatives and surface needs, risks, and adjustments early. GrantsComplianceandFederalPrograms Actsastheday-to-day“quarterback”forgrantsandfederalprogramcompliance,in partnership with the Director of Compliance and other support teams. Advisesoncompliancefitandfederalprogramviabilityforproposedprojects,ensuring alignment with statutes regulations, and internal policies
