The position is responsible for training, fostering/adopting families, and teaching independent living skills.General AccountabilitiesProvide direct training services to clientsInterview prospective youths and determine appropriate placement.Supervised youth in placement and coordination of community resources.Meet weekly with youthOrientation of youth Development of treatment goals Coordinate educational, medical, recreational, and mental health services within the community as deemed appropriate. Write monthly progress reports based on the treatment goals to the referring agency.Complete special incident reports to Executive Director.Provide support and guidance to residents through weekly contactComplete fifty (50) hours of training per year related to professional development.Carry a caseload of 4-12 Residents.Service as a Crisis intervention person for your caseload and “on Call” as assigned Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Job QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor or Masters DegreeMinimum Experience: 2 Years Combined education/experience as a substitute for the minimum experienceMinimum Field of Expertise: Social workPreferred Experience: 2 or 3 YearsPreferred Field of Expertise: social work in a Business or industrial environment.SkillsProblem-Solving - Identifies and resolves problems time efficiently; Gathers and analyzes information; Develops solutions; Uses reason.Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively; Listens and gets clarification when necessary; Responds informatively to questions.Project Management - Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Manages project team activities.Written Communication - Writes clearly and concisely; Edits work; Varies writing style to meet specific needs; Presents data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives.Leadership - Inspires and motivates others to perform well; Effectively influences actions and opinions of others; Accepts feedback from others.Skills: LanguageAbility to write reports and business correspondence. xaygatp Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, and the general public.
