Oracle Database Administrator IIILocation: Austin, TX (Hybrid)Duration: ContractNote: Need someone local to Austin and No Out Of State candidate work.Position OverviewWe are seeking 1 Database Administrator III to support advanced database administration for complex applications, data models, workflows, and reporting environments. The role involves database performance tuning, migration support, logical and physical data modeling, security, backup and recovery, and collaboration with application teams in an Agile environment.The selected candidate will work with full-stack Java applications on a cloud platform and support database migration and optimization efforts, including moving data from Oracle-based applications to Azure Microsoft SQL schemas and related collections.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced database administration for production and test environments.Support planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems.Create and maintain logical and physical data models.Design relational database structures and support data modeling and prototyping.Perform database tuning, indexing, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.Support data migration, transformation, conversion, loading, and validation activities.Convert Oracle stored procedures and functions to Azure SQL.Manage user access, security, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, clustering, and high availability.Monitor database health, performance metrics, and storage requirements.Support database installation, configuration, and benchmarking.Assist with technical and functional design documentation.Work within an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.Ensure accessibility compliance for database-related user interfaces, reports, and data access tools.Required Qualifications10 years of database experience.8 years of experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or similar platforms.8 years of experience in relational database administration.8 years of experience in database design, analysis, and performance tuning.8 years of experience with database structures, data analysis, and optimization.8 years of experience designing enterprise applications and/or services.8 years of experience creating technical and functional design documentation.8 years of experience working in the software development lifecycle using Agile/Scrum.8 years of experience with multi-tier systems or application development.Preferred QualificationsExperience with large-volume databases, high availability, and disaster recovery.Experience with Azure.Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data into Azure SQL.Experience with DevOps tools, including CI/CD pipelines and Git.Experience with Java/J2EE enterprise development.Azure certification preferred.DBA Associate certification preferred.Work Location and ScheduleLocation: Austin, Texas 78751.Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days remote and 2 days onsite.Onsite days: Monday and Friday.Local candidates only: Must already reside in Texas and be within the Austin area.Travel and expenses: Travel, parking, per diem, and living expenses are the candidate’s or vendor’s responsibility.Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, unless otherwise coordinated.Candidate may be asked to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with pre-approval.TermStart date: 09/01/2026End date: 08/31/2027Estimated hours: Up to 454 hoursInterview ProcessIn-person interviews only.PriceSenz is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
