Night Wrapper
Position Summary: The Night Wrapper at a food distribution company plays a vital role in the packaging and wrapping of products during the night shift. They will be responsible for manually wrapping pallets, operation the wrapping machine, ensuring labels are on and ensure the correct pallets. The Night Wrapper will work as part of a team, following standard operating procedures to maintain product quality, cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced distribution environment.What you'll do:Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areasSorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated roomsMarks materials with identifying informationArranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers by locationWrapping pallets for 8-hour shiftClean out company trailers; remove empty pallets/crates and organize for pickupFollows all safety rules and completes all duties as assigned per business needsHigh-energy individual with a strong work ethic, the work is fast paced and very physicalLift and carry a minimum of up to 25-75lbs, materials handled varyWrap pallets with pallet wrap machineEnsure plastic is tight to ensure a quality haulClean surrounding area of work to ensure a clean workspaceAbout you:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)One to three months related experience and/or trainingAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.#LI-TC1
