Right Price.Title: Packaging Engineer / Packaging Development Specialist Duration: 09 months contract Location: Summit, NJ 07901Shift: Standard Business HoursPosition Summary • Provides technical expertise in the areas of design, development, testing and production scale-up of new packaging component and systems. • Execute packaging work processes and support packaging projects across cross-functional teams. • Manage multiple packaging development activities including materials selection and manufacturing changes. • Support innovation, process optimization, and compliance initiatives across packaging systems.Responsibilities • Has package development knowledge or background to execute packaging work processes for packaging projects. • Compiles and analyses data, identifies causes, draws conclusions and reports. • Manages processes and ensures that activities and project goals are achieved through engagement with cross-functional teams, manufacturing sites and packaging vendors. • Responsible for maintaining compliance, consistency of practices and work quality. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously involving package development, materials selection, and manufacturing process/site changes. • Support manufacturing investigations by collaborating with cross-functional teams from commercial & supply chain to execute optimization of processes, packaging materials, and constructions. • Partner with cross-functional team to execute package development activities with minimal supervision. • Demonstrates specialized knowledge, experience and skill in scientific analysis. • Leverage digital tools such as CAD, and/or modelling & simulation in projects. • Executes projects with technical rigor and translates output into specifications. • Develop and drive alignment for packaging development plans with franchise squads.QualificationsEducation: • BS / MS in Packaging technology. • Mechanical / Polymer, Plastics or Chemical Engineering.Experience: • 5+ years of new package development/Technology transfer in Consumer care, food, or pharmaceutical companies. • Prior client experience preferred. • Must be able to work independently.Skills: • Packaging domain expertise. • Package regulation knowledge. • Knowledge of the external ecosystem. • Knowledge of digital workflows (CAD, modelling & simulation). • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong communication capability (written and verbal). • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. • Flexibility and agility to manage conflicting priorities. • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.Why Work With Us?
