Must be able to effectively lead, assess and instruct and early childhood education team within the Kenaitze Education Division. Lead responsibility for the design, procurement, production, dissemination, implementation and use of all of learning, education and case management tools and functions for Early Learning-ages birth through eight. Provides consistent and effective program administration, fiscal planning and management, assumes a high degree of responsibility, demonstrates comfort with a high degree of responsibility, can work effectively under pressure, and has the capacity to effectively lead a highly diverse group of education professionals. Ensures consistency in all program operations. Experience in the successful management of dedicated federal operational budgets that exceed $1M.Essential FunctionsCreate and maintain respectful partnerships with all program staff, organizational staff, community partners, enrolled families and program participantsFulfill all grant management and reporting requirements as put forth by the Finance departmentMonitor, maintain and comply with all performance reporting specific to funding objectives and strategiesEnsure Head Start compliance standards, procedures, policies and protocols specific to contractual functions and nationally recognized Head Start practices and missionCoordinate with parents to ensure that educational services are of the highest quality, frequency, consistency and use of resourcesServe as a leader, mentor, coach and professional peer to all Early Learning staff membersEnsure that all program strategies are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner. Assist and support families in locating resources that best meets their needsProvide support to staff specific to parent and child activities that encourages developmentally appropriate activities for the changing needs of infants and toddlersWork with appropriate community agencies and other resources to further the vision and mission of the Early Learning CenterSubmit the monthly program specific content to the Education Director for inclusion and disseminationMonitor, authorize and approve staff attendance, program participant attendance, and educational activitiesCommunicate frequently with teaching staff and all Coordinators, other staff and parents; serve as liaison among medical and social services in the community; act as advocate for Head Start families and assure quality servicesEnsures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinanceIt is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list.
