Director of Worship & OutreachArlington, VA 22201Full-TimeA growing, mission-driven faith-based organization is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Worship & Outreach to lead dynamic worship experiences while cultivating meaningful community engagement initiatives.This individual will oversee worship programming, develop and mentor volunteer teams, and help create welcoming environments that foster spiritual growth and connection. In addition, this leader will organize outreach efforts that strengthen relationships within the surrounding community and mobilize volunteers for service opportunities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Worship LeadershipPlan and lead weekly worship services and special eventsCoordinate music selection, arrangements, rehearsals, and production elementsDevelop, disciple, and mentor worship leaders, musicians, and volunteersCollaborate with leadership teams to ensure excellence and consistency across servicesSupport worship environments that engage diverse audiences and musical stylesParticipate in creative development including arranging, songwriting, and service planningOutreach & Community EngagementOrganize and execute community outreach initiatives and eventsRecruit, train, and support volunteer teams and outreach leadersBuild and maintain relationships with community partnersHelp develop new opportunities for local impact and engagementSupport youth and community-focused ministry eventsOversee collaborative community space initiatives and volunteer coordinationQUALIFICATIONS:Strong vocal and instrumental leadership abilitiesExperience leading worship teams in live environmentsFamiliarity with live production tools and church management platformsAbility to lead, mentor, and empower volunteers and staffExcellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skillsExperience working within multicultural environments preferredBachelor’s degree preferredAt least 3+ years of worship leadership or ministry leadership experience preferredPassion for faith, community impact, and team collaborationTechnical Experience Preferred:Planning CenterProPresenterMainStageMultiTracksIEM and live audio environmentsADDITIONAL INFORMATION:This role requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holiday events.
