Business Development Specialist - Canton Service
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Prospecting — Identify and pursue commercial/industrial clients through cold outreach, networking, site visits, and referral channels. Service Agreement Sales — Sell preventive maintenance contracts for HVAC and plumbing systems, tailoring scopes to client needs and equipment conditions. Pipeline Management — Maintain an active pipeline, track opportunities, and forecast revenue using CRM tools. Client Needs Assessment — Conduct site surveys, review mechanical/plumbing systems, and collaborate with service managers to develop solutions. Proposal Development — Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing, and scopes of work for service agreements and small projects. Relationship Building — Develop long‑term partnerships with facility managers, property managers, and building owners. Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work with service technicians, dispatch, and project teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Market Intelligence — Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and local market opportunities. Required Skills & Qualifications3–5+ years of B2B service sales experience (HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or facilities services preferred). Strong understanding of HVAC systems and commercial plumbing components. Proven ability to generate leads and close service agreements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to read or interpret mechanical drawings and equipment lists (preferred). CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar). Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
