Dental Hygienist

Established Amherst office looking to add to our team! We’re seeking a motivated Registered Dental Hygienist for part-time, with additional hours available if desired. Currently looking to fill hours on Tues 8am-12:00pm, Wed 8am-5pm, Thurs 5:30pm-8:00pm, Fri 8am-12pm and 1 or 2 Sat a month 8am - 12:00pm. Saturdays are off in summer. Please specify which hours you are interested in. Experience with Eaglesoft preferred. Pay dependent upon experience. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Complete prophylaxis and fluoride treatments Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care Take X-rays Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice or NYS approved recent graduate Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
