Required Skills: Board Certification in General Surgery Valid Oregon State Medical License or ability to obtain Proven experience in performing common general surgical procedures Strong clinical judgment and excellent patient management skills Ability to work independently and within a team Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to respond efficiently to trauma and emergency situations Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Meditech and eClinicalWorks EMR systems Prior experience working in a hospital and clinic setting Familiarity with diagnostic and screening colonoscopies Experience with procedures such as cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and appendectomy BLS and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of surgical practice post-residency Previous locum or hospital-based surgical experience is advantageous Other Requirements: Willingness to work in both clinical and hospital settings Availability to start as soon as credentialed Ability to commit to a 7-10 block schedule for up to one year Must be able to respond to trauma cases, including low-level falls, MVAs, and other emergency incidents Travel arrangements to Pasco, WA, and lodging at approved hotels or shared accommodations This is an outstanding opportunity to provide essential surgical services in a welcoming community while enjoying competitive pay rates, supportive team resources, and comprehensive benefits.
