Senior System Engineer

Overview A growing technology infrastructure organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support and improve enterprise platforms that enable critical business operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and integration of systems across both on-premise infrastructure and cloud/SaaS environments . The ideal candidate will combine strong systems administration expertise with the ability to translate operational workflows into system configurations and integrations. The work is hands-on and operationally focused, ensuring enterprise systems function effectively while supporting ongoing improvements and automation initiatives. This position works closely with internal technology teams, application developers, and business stakeholders to resolve system issues, improve workflows, and maintain production environments. Key Responsibilities Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and translate them into system workflows, integrations, and configuration requirements . Design and document process flows, system interactions, and data mappings across enterprise platforms. Manage and optimize production systems following implementation, including configuration updates and troubleshooting. Administer and support enterprise infrastructure environments , including Linux and Windows servers. Deploy and maintain containerized applications and services within internal infrastructure environments. Perform system administration tasks such as patch management, monitoring, configuration management, and performance tuning . Work with infrastructure and networking teams to ensure systems align with operational and architectural standards. Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks used by engineering and support teams. Provide technical guidance on system configuration standards, platform integrations, and operational best practices. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise platform administration, or technical operations roles. Strong hands-on experience supporting Linux-based systems in enterprise environments. Experience supporting containerized workloads and modern infrastructure platforms. Ability to analyze business workflows and translate them into system configurations and automation solutions . Familiarity with IT service management platforms and configuration management concepts . Strong troubleshooting ability across applications, infrastructure, and data integrations . Experience collaborating with development teams to define requirements and validate system functionality. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise workflow or service management platforms. Experience with automation and infrastructure operations tooling . Exposure to enterprise integration environments and operational monitoring tools. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
