DescriptionCNC Machinist - First ClassLocation: Farmingdale, NY Employment Type: Full-Time About the RoleSuperior Motion Controls is seeking a First-Class CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team in Farmingdale, NY. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment and has deep expertise in CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting. The position supports the production of precision components used in critical defense and aerospace applications. What You'll DoSet up, program, and operate vertical CNC machining centers to produce precision components Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, setup sheets, and engineering drawings Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure adherence to tight tolerances Select tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining performance and quality Conduct routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Maintain accurate production documentation and setup records Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve machining processes Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum and Inconel Must-Have Skills and Experience(These are required for consideration.) Minimum 10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience Strong setup and operation experience on CNC machining centers Experience working within tight tolerances Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Experience using precision measuring instruments including: Micrometers Calipers Height gauges Dial indacators Strong understanding of machining different materials and cutting tool technology Ability to work independently with minimal supervision US Citizen Nice-to-Have Skills(These are preferred but not required.)
