Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Location: SW Barnes Rd, Portland, OR Employment Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technologist to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team located on SW Barnes Rd in Portland, OR. The Cath Lab Technologist will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures related to cardiovascular conditions. This position requires expertise in radiographic imaging, patient care, and the operation of complex medical equipment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and position patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Operate and maintain radiographic and imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment. Assist cardiologists and other healthcare professionals during invasive cardiac procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies. Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels during procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being. Administer contrast media and medications as prescribed, adhering to safety and infection control protocols. Prepare and handle sterile instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field throughout the procedure. Document and record procedure details, patient responses, and imaging results accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the procedure, pre-and post-procedure care, and expected outcomes. Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment, coordinating with biomedical engineers as needed.
