Java Lead (Contract – 7 Months to Start) Location: Hybrid – McLean, VA Duration: 7-month contract (with potential extension) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Java Lead to join our team on a 8-month contract engagement. This is a hybrid role based in McLean, VA, offering the opportunity to lead development initiatives, mentor team members, and drive high-quality Java-based solutions in a collaborative environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and solutionsEnsure code quality through best practices, reviews, and testing strategiesTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issuesSupport system integration efforts and maintain documentationRequired QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of hands-on Java development experienceProven experience in a technical lead or senior development roleStrong understanding of application architecture and development best practicesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in hybrid enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
