The person in this role will perform routine daily revenue and reporting audits on operations.This is an mid level position with excellent opportunities for growth and a chance to learn all tenets of Finance in a growing middle market company. This role will be primarily based from our Hingham Office across from the Shipyard, with some current flexibility to work from home a few days a week. The Staff Accountant supports the Controller and CFO with general ledger account management, financial reporting, budgeting and assisting with other duties. This position requires a fast learner, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail as well as creative and strategic thinking.ResponsibilitiesPrepares monthly client Profit & Loss (P&L) statementsAssists with accounts payable as neededAssists with accounts receivable as neededPrepare bank reconciliationsPrepares and reviews monthly allocationsAnalyzes accounts, transactions and proceduresPrepares journal entries and maintain files and records supporting General Ledger transactions.Assist Controller with balance sheets reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of all auditsOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsQualificationsEducation Requirements: College degree in accounting or financeProfessional Experience:3-5 years' experienceProperty Management Experience is a plusExperience with Microsoft Business CentralRequirements:Must be proficient with MS Office suite - Intermediate in Microsoft ExcelFamiliar with Microsoft Business Central is a plusFamiliar with GAAP principlesMust have understanding of debits and credits and integrated financial statements.Must be able to complete and understand bank reconciliationThe ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines a must as well the ability to multi-taskMust be articulate, organized and possess excellent communication skills and strong work ethic, good planning and prioritization skills.Must be able to commute to Hingham, MA office 2 days/week.Salary: $90,000#VPNE350
