Paint Technician

Clean & Paint Technician -1st ShiftThe Clean & Paint Technician plays a key role in ensuring machinery and equipment are professionally cleaned, prepped, and painted to high standards before being staged for customer delivery or rental readiness. This is an entry-level, hands-on role that involves working with industrial coatings, cleaning agents, and basic tools in a production shop environment, with training provided for the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesClean machinery, parts, and components using appropriate solvents, degreasers, and cleaning tools to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants.Prepare surfaces for painting by masking, sanding, grinding, and taping according to job specifications and quality standards.Mix and apply industrial coatings and paints using spray guns, rollers, or brushes while following specified application techniques.Maintain and clean painting equipment, tools, and work materials after use to ensure proper operation and longevity.Inspect equipment and components to identify and report damaged parts or areas requiring repair prior to painting.Assist with light mechanical disassembly and reassembly to access surfaces that need cleaning or painting.Safely move, position, and stage equipment using pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts, with training provided as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.Essential SkillsComfort working with solvents, cleaners, and power tools in a shop environment.Ability to perform paint preparation tasks such as masking, sanding, grinding, and surface cleaning.Capability to use or learn to use spray guns, rollers, and brushes for applying industrial coatings and paints.Strong attention to detail with pride in producing clean, professional-looking finishes.Entry-level readiness with openness to training in industrial or automotive-style cleaning and painting.Basic ability to safely use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hoists, with training provided.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL.The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
