Engineer in Training (EIT) - Modeling | Denver, CO
AE2S is seeking a Hydraulic Modeling Engineer-in-Training for its Denver Colorado office. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented and technologically-advanced engineering consulting firm. Successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of project management and modeling engineers and will have the opportunity to develop skills in model development, calibration, system evaluation, improvements planning, and design, with an emphasis on personal/career development.
Responsibilities
Assist project managers with hydraulic model development, model calibration, system analysis, growth planning, identification of improvements, and capital improvements planning for water distribution and wastewater collection systems
Assist project managers in sizing and design of distribution pipelines, storage tanks, pump stations, collection systems, lift stations, force mains, treatment systems, rural water, and municipal facilities
Assist with fire flow testing, wastewater flow testing, deploying meters, downloading and interpreting test data, and incorporating data into hydraulic models
Assist in preparation of technical reports, memoranda, cost estimating, presentation of results.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Fundamentals in Engineering certified or ability to obtain within 6 months
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
Innovyze modeling software experience
ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro software experience
2 years+ experience on water, wastewater modeling projects
