Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role for a Staff Accountant based in the Bellingham Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some remote work. The Staff Accountant will manage financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare financial reports. Key responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting with audits. Collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders is an essential aspect of this role. Qualifications Financial and accounting skills, including proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reportingKnowledge of bookkeeping practices, GAAP, and regulatory compliance in accountingProficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracyBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredExperience in nonprofit accounting or public health administration is a plusAbility to work independently in a hybrid environment while effectively collaborating with teams
