Residential Home Builder Cadd Drafter
The CAD Team is responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for residential construction projects. This role works closely with in house designers, engineers, and construction teams to translate concepts into precise construction documents that meet regulatory requirements and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed residential construction drawings using CAD software (AutoCad 3D)Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for single-family and multi-family homesRevise drawings and plans based on feedback from ManagementEnsure all drawings comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and company standardsCoordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical plans to ensure integration and accuracyReview design specifications and identify potential design or constructability issuesMaintain organized drawing files and documentation for all projectsAssist in permitting and submission processes as neededCollaborate with purchasing and construction teams to ensure design accuracy aligns with materials and budgetsQualificationsCertification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field3–5 years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in residential constructionProficiency in AutoCAD 3DStrong understanding of residential construction methods and materialsKnowledge of local building codes and permitting processesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesKey CompetenciesTechnical drawing and design skillsAttention to detail and precisionProblem-solving is a MUST.
