Fullstack .Net Developer
Job Title: .Net developer Duration: 18 months Location: Jersey City Required Pay Scale: $60-68/hourJob Overview We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support a market risk application migration initiative, with a strong focus on designing proof of concept (POC) solutions, automation of reporting, and BAU (Business-As-Usual) support. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building enterprise applications within the financial services domain, along with hands-on expertise in modern .NET technologies and full-stack development. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop proof of concept (POC) solutions for migrating legacy market risk applications to modern .NET-based architecturesBuild and maintain enterprise-grade applications using C#, .NET / ASP.NET, and MVC frameworksDevelop and consume RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration across systemsCreate and enhance React-based UI components for reporting and operational workflowsAutomate reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityProvide BAU support, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and performance optimizationWork with Sybase and other databases to design queries, optimize performance, and support data-driven applicationsDeploy and maintain applications in Windows Server 2019 environmentsCollaborate with business analysts, project managers, and risk teams to gather and refine requirementsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequired Skills & Qualifications6+ years of experience in .NET developmentStrong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET/.NET Core, and MVC architectureHands-on experience with React and modern front-end integrationExperience building and integrating REST APIsSolid understanding of Agile development methodologiesExperience working with Windows Server 2019 environmentsStrong database experience, particularly with SybasePrior experience in the financial services industry, preferably in market risk or regulatory applicationsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to support production systemsNice-to-Have SkillsExperience with Python for scripting or data processingFamiliarity with Git for version controlExposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development toolsPreferred ProfileExperience working on application migration or modernization projectsAbility to balance development and production support responsibilitiesStrong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders About Matlen Silver Experience Matters.
