Rewinder Technician

Description: Rewind Technicians complete the manufacturing process by validating the quality of the labels that are rewound into usable rolls for the customer. They confirm the printed information and color are to the customer’s specifications. They are thorough in filling out documentation and communicating any discrepancies in quality they find. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review the job ticket for special instruction observing unwind direction, core’s inner diameter size, finished labels across the web and blind shipments Set up rewind inspection machine by loading press rolls, entering the label information and adjusting slitting blades to proper widths Verify the finished product matches the customer signed proof and the color matches the previously printed sample when applicable Inspect the product’s quality at the same time rewinding it to a customer usable size removing all nonconformance product Fill out documents, affix identification labels, load product into a box and stacking on a pallet Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping the area and dumping the trashcan Perform routine machine maintenance by cleaning adhesive from rollers, slitting blades and spacers JOB CONDITIONS: Manufacturing/Warehouse environment COMPANY PAID BENEFITS: Paid holidays Starting 104 hours PTO – prorated monthly MDLive – Telemedicine* Life insurance* Short term disability* Long term disability insurance* Employee assistance program COMPANY OFFERED BENEFITS: Vision 401(k) – quarterly after 60 days of employment – must be at least 21 years of age Voluntary Life Insurance* Flexible spending account – health care and/or dependent care* Company Subsidized Benefits: Medical* Dental* Benefit will be available on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment ABOUT US: About Us: Brook & Whittle Ltd. is one of North America’s leading Sustainable Labeling Solutions providers, producing pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging for many of the nation’s leading brands.
