* *Python X Operator* Company: Arlington Structural Steel Job Type: Full-time Location: 1727 E. Davis Street Arlington Heights, IL 60005 Schedule: [5am-1pm] Compensation: [25-30/hr.] Arlington Structural Steel is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Python X Operator to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for operating the Python X robotic structural steel fabrication system to produce accurate, high-quality components while meeting production schedules and quality standards. *Key Responsibilities* * Set up and operate the Python X structural steel fabrication system. * Load programs and material specifications for production. * Position and load structural steel members safely and accurately. * Monitor cutting, coping, marking, and other automated processes. * Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details. * Verify dimensions and inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy. * Make approved machine adjustments and troubleshoot routine operating issues. * Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance. * Track production, material usage, and completed work. * Coordinate with fitters, welders, material handlers, programmers, and supervisors. * Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tag out requirements. * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. *Qualifications* * Previous experience operating Python X equipment is strongly preferred. * Structural steel fabrication experience is preferred. * Ability to read structural steel drawings, blueprints, and measuring instruments. * Familiarity with beams, columns, channels, angles, and other structural shapes. * Basic understanding of CNC controls, machine files, and production workflows. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to troubleshoot routine production and equipment issues. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as production needs require. * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. *Physical Requirements* * Ability to stand and move throughout the shift. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. * Ability to bend, reach, climb, and work around large steel components. * Ability to work in a fabrication environment with noise, sparks, dust, and changing temperatures. * Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment. *What Arlington Structural Steel Offers* * Competitive compensation * Health, dental, and vision benefits * Paid time off and holidays * Retirement plan options * Overtime opportunities * Training and advancement opportunities * Stable, team-oriented work environment Construction This Job Is: * Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED * A job for which all ages, including older job seekers, are encouraged to apply * Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma Work Remotely * No This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: * Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous * Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture * Innovative -- prefers working in unconventional ways or on tasks that require creativity Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off Shift: * Day shift Work Location: In person
