You'll play a key role in shaping how equipment is installed, validated, and safely operated-before problems occur.If you enjoy being close to the equipment, working directly with manufacturing teams, and solving real problems at the source, this role offers visibility, ownership, and impact that many safety roles lack.The OpportunityWe're seeking a Safety Engineer to support a GMP‐regulated consumer products manufacturing site that produces sprayand aerosol products. The role blends engineering thinking with safety leadership, focusing heavily on equipment safety, risk analysis, andfailure prevention. You'll split your time between the manufacturing floor and the office, partnering with operators, mechanics, contractors,and plant leadership to ensure equipment is installed and operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently.What You'll Be DoingReview existing equipment and new capital installations for safety, guarding, and complianceSupport equipment validation from a safety and risk perspectiveConduct risk assessments, FMEAs, and root cause analyses tied to equipment failures and near missesAnalyze data to understand how safety risk impacts production workflow and peopleDeliver and support safety training (Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, confined spaces, etc.)-from quick floor huddles to formal sessionsPartner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations on corrective actionsEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and GMP standardsStay current on regulatory changes and help implement practical solutionsThis is a hands‐on role-you'll be expected to climb equipment, work around active production lines, and engagedirectly with the people running the machinery.What We're Looking ForRequired2-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentProven experience with equipment safety, risk analysis, and root cause investigationsKnowledge of Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, and OSHA General Industry standardsBachelor's degree (discipline flexible)Nice to HaveGMP manufacturing experienceConsumer goods, aerosol, liquid filling, or EPA‐regulated product experiencePSM/RMP exposureStrong data analysis or reliability mindsetWork Environment* On‐site manufacturing facility (office + production floor)* Physically active role (lifting up to 50 pounds climbing ladders, accessing equipment)Why Apply?High‐impact, newly created role tied to major capital investmentReal ownership of equipment‐level safety decisionsDirect exposure to plant leadershipExcellent contract‐to‐hire potentialStrong experience builder for future safety or safety management rolesIf you're ready to move beyond paperwork and play a visible role in designing and executing manufacturing safety, this role is worth exploring.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $46.63/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
