Construction Superintendent

Job Description The Construction Superintendent has full responsibility for the onsite large scale production of a project or multiple projects. This responsibility includes directing craftsmen and subcontractors, providing quality control, assuring conformity to plans and specifications, maintaining sequences to meet schedule, maintaining short and long term production schedules, conducting weekly job site coordination and safety meetings, scheduling equipment furnished by Con-Real, and administering job site safety program. ResponsibilitiesProvide overall onsite administrative and technical management on theconstruction project siteSupervise total construction effort to ensure that the project is constructed inaccordance with design, budget, and scheduleIncludes interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, othercontractors, etc. Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and"quality control") through coordination with Project ManagementProvide technical assistance, e.g. interpretation of drawings, recommendingmethods, etc.Ensure that all onsite personnel complies with project procedures and safetyprogram requirementsDocument all violations, notify project management, and recommend/implementcorrection actionsAssume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials andequipment, and contractual performance of the projectCoordinate project activitiesRequirementsB.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or relatedcombination of technical trainingand/or related experienceKnowledge of commercial construction processes and technical skillsAdvanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability tocontrol and supervise largeessential groupsExperience as a Superintendent for commercial projects over $15 MillionExperience in a Joint Venture and projects is preferredMust possess computer skills and have a working knowledge of the followingprograms:, Procore, Microsoft Excel and Word, construction scheduling programs such asMicrosoft ProjectMust have excellent communication skills, both written and oral Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $85,000 - $130,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
