This role ensures full compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and DoD safety and security mandates governing explosives and munitions operations. The Supervisor provides leadership to security personnel, enforces regulatory standards, and maintains a secure operating environment consistent with contractual and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesDevelops, implements, and oversees site security programs and written plans, including the Physical Security/Plant Protection Plan, Disaster Control and Bomb Threat Plans, OPSEC program, safeguarding procedures for arms, ammunition, and explosives, Guard Orders, and SOPs. Oversee and enhance security systems, including surveillance, alarms, and access controls. Collaborate with departments to address safety and security issues and provide recommendations to leadership regarding safety improvements and disciplinary actions. Manage access control, badging, visitor processing, and perimeter security. Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness. 20%Lead investigations related to security breaches, theft, or compliance violations. Collaborate with departments to ensure full compliance with ATF, DoD, OSHA, DHS and other applicable federal and state regulations governing munitions and explosives. 10%Additional duties as assigned. KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)Demonstrated knowledge of safety and security compliance mandates governing munitions, explosives, or defense-related facilities. Demonstrates strong teaching and training abilities supported by effective oral and written communication skills. Strong in risk assessment, crisis management, and sound decision-making, with the ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and independent judgment. Proficient in use of SAP, MS Programs (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word) and other applicable software programs. Ability to quickly learn, research, interpret, and apply applicable regulations, including OSHA, industrial safety standards, and Texas security requirements. Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s Degree (AA) preferably in Criminal Justice. RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) preferably in Criminal Justice. Preferred5+ years in security operations, preferably in a regulated manufacturing, defense, explosives, or munitions environment. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
