Technical Account Manager - Storage
CMK is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support one of our premier clients in the enterprise infrastructure and data storage industry. The Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a strategic, customer-facing technical leader aligned to one of our partner's most complex enterprise accounts. This role operates as the long-term technical owner of the customer relationship across a broad enterprise storage portfolio, including Everpure FlashArray, FlashBlade, cloud-based services, and related enterprise data platform solutions.This is not a reactive support role. The Senior TAM drives technical strategy across the full lifecycle of the customer engagement, proactively manages platform health and risk, and aligns storage solutions to evolving business and infrastructure objectives. The ideal candidate combines deep enterprise storage expertise, cross-platform architectural awareness, and executive-level communication skills required to influence technical and business stakeholders.What You Will Be DoingOwn Strategic Technical EngagementServe as the primary technical authority for assigned strategic enterprise accounts.Develop and execute structured engagement plans aligned to customer business priorities and IT transformation initiatives.Provide architectural guidance spanning block, file, object, and cloud-integrated storage solutions.Drive Portfolio-Level Platform StrategyDemonstrate strong technical proficiency across Everpure platform, such as FlashArray, FlashBlade, and Pure's broader enterprise data solutions.Guide customers on high availability, replication strategies, cyber resiliency, performance optimization, and lifecycle governance.Align on-prem and cloud storage strategies with business continuity and data growth objectives.Proactive Risk & Health ManagementIdentify operational, architectural, and scaling risks through telemetry analysis, trend monitoring, and structured technical reviews.Implement governance models including health checks, upgrade planning, roadmap alignment, and capacity forecasting.Anticipate cross-platform impacts as environments evolve.Complex Escalation & Cross-Functional LeadershipAct as the technical liaison between Customer Experience, Engineering, Sales, and third-party vendors.Drive complex, multi-technology issues to resolution when standard escalation paths stall.Maintain executive confidence during crisis events.Executive Communication & InfluencePresent technical risk posture, architecture recommendations, and strategic roadmaps to stakeholders ranging from storage administrators to CIO-level executives.Translate infrastructure decisions into business impact terms including performance, resiliency, scalability, and risk mitigation.What You Bring to the RoleExperience & Seniority10+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments with mission-critical workloads.Demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-platform customer environments.Proven ability to operate independently in high-visibility accounts.Enterprise Storage & Platform ExpertiseStrong hands-on experience with enterprise storage architectures (block, file, object).Deep understanding of high availability, replication, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.Experience supporting mission-critical databases (Oracle strongly preferred).Familiarity with hybrid cloud integration models and data mobility strategies.Broad Infrastructure AwarenessWorking knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), virtualization platforms, networking fundamentals, and enterprise application environments.Ability to navigate multi-vendor ecosystems without losing depth in core storage strategy.Analytical & Problem-Solving StrengthStructured troubleshooting approach across complex environments.Ability to interpret telemetry and performance trends to detect early risk signals.Experience leading cross-functional resolution efforts.Automation & Operational EnablementFamiliarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to streamline reporting, data analysis, and operational workflows.Ability to leverage APIs and telemetry tools to enhance proactive risk monitoring and customer insights.Experience automating operational tasks or reporting processes is preferred.Executive Presence & CommunicationStrong presentation and communication skills.Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.Comfortable leading roadmap and governance discussions at executive levels. Additional QualificationsExperience in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise industries preferred.Familiarity with automation or scripting considered a plus.Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
