InsideOut Insights Hunter Role Job DescriptionJob Title: Outside Sales Representative (Hunter) — Qualitative Market Research Firm (Remote, US)About Us We are a boutique qualitative market research firm that delivers deep consumer and B2B insights through in-depth interviews, focus groups, ethnography, and advisory work. We partner with brands, agencies, and product teams to turn human behavior into strategic advantage. We’re scaling and need a high-energy, hunter-style Business Development professional to drive new client acquisition. At InsideOut Insights we specialize in CPG, Financial Services, Retail, Regulated markets (insurance/Utilities), Healthcare, and Technology.The Role: You will own prospecting and new-business generation from lead identification through close. This is a full-cycle, quota-driven sales role focused exclusively on finding and winning new clients for qualitative, and qualitative-at- scale research projects. You will build pipelines via LinkedIn and other mining tools, targeted outreach, networking, cold calling, and events; manage discovery conversations; qualify opportunities; deliver compelling proposals with the research team; and close deals.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect, qualify, and generate new business opportunities using LinkedIn, industry sites, company databases, referrals, events, and outbound email/calls.Build and maintain a healthy pipeline to meet/exceed monthly and quarterly new-business targets.Conduct discovery calls to uncover needs, budgets, timelines, stakeholders, and decision criteria.Coordinate with project and research leads to develop tailored proposals and scopes of work.Negotiate terms and close new engagements; manage handoff to account/project teams.Track all activity and pipeline in our CRM and produce regular sales forecasts/reporting.Potentially represent the firm at industry events and virtual conferences to generate leads and build thought-leadership relationships.Maintain knowledge of qualitative methods, market research trends, and competitive landscape to position our services effectively.What Success Looks Like (first 6–12 months)Build a qualified annual pipeline worth $900k - $1.2M Close 2 projects/month or meet a revenue threshold based on assigned quarterly quotaEstablish consistent outbound cadence converting leads into qualified opportunities.Who You AreProven hunter with 3+ years in B2B sales, new-business development, or client acquisition — ideally selling services (market research, consulting, insights, market intelligence, agency services).Comfortable selling to mid-market and enterprise clients (CMO, Head of Insights, Product, Brand).Strong prospecting skills: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, cold email, cold calling, and networking.Excellent communicator and presenter; able to translate research capabilities into business impact.Self-motivated, organized, and metrics-driven with experience using CRM (HubSpot, Vrino, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar).Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders in matrixed organizations.Prefer candidates located in Central or Eastern time zones (must be within the US).Nice-to-HavesDirect experience in qualitative/quantitative market research, insights, or agency/business consulting.Existing network of contacts in consumer insights, brand, product, or agency worlds.Experience writing proposals or SOWs for research projects.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary + uncapped commission structure (base + commission).Benefits package medical, dental, S< disability, paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement plan and profit Sharing Remote-first position with flexible work hours; occasional client travel as needed.Performance bonuses and professional development support.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran's status.Applicants with a disability or a disabled veteran may request a reasonable accommodation if he/she is unable or limited in his/her ability to access job openings or apply for a job on our website as a result of his/her disability.
