Network Engineer
Role: Network Engineer Sr. (13483)Location: Irving, TXDuration: ContractJob Summary:Senior Network Engineer role in a challenging and diverse environment to assist with the installation, configuration, and management of our network infrastructure. You will also provide direct support to internal team members and external clients via phone, email, chat, or in person. Candidates should be self-motivated and possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Must be a strong team player able to collaborate with others. A CCNP or higher certification is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer issues within the 7-Eleven networkProvide Tier 3 technical support for 7-Eleven’s network infrastructureResolve incidents directly with end users and record detailed actions in ticketing toolCollaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure the network stays operationalEscalate issues to the next level of support if unable to resolve in a timely mannerEnsure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound and highly availableResearch existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions based upon extensive professional experience, industry best practices, knowledge of industry technologies through formal training and/or self-studyInstall and implement network hardware components and cables in data centers and corporate officesPerform approved network changes according to procedures with minimal business disruptionUnderstand and perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs and patchesDevelop and maintain accurate network support documentation in a knowledge repositoryPerform network performance monitoring, trending, and capacity planning for the LAN, WLAN, MAN, and WANExpectations:This is a full-time, on-site position based in Irving, TX.Occasional after-hours support may be required.Passionate about customer supportAttention to detail – good organizational and time management skillsAbility to work nights or weekends, as needed, and participate in an on-call rotationYears of Experience:7+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise networksRequired Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)*Highlight or bold your top 3 "must-haves" from this section.7+ years’ experience managing enterprise networks (Cisco, F5, Juniper) is preferred2+ years working specifically in network design, planning, connectivity, migration, and supportKnowledge and understanding of common network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, STP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)Certifications are highly recommended (i.e., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, etc.)Education & Certification RequirementsUniversity degree in information technology or a related field preferredPreferred Industry ExperienceRetail, Fuel Operations, Supply Chain
