Logistics Coordinator

Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team based out of our Richmond, IN location. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, this position plays an integral part on the team by assisting with logistics and supply chain management as a dedicated specialist, facilitating seamless operations and optimizing efficiency within the organization. By meticulously coordinating transportation, inventory, and distribution processes, the aim is to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity. Success factors include fostering strong vendor relationships, implementing innovative strategies for inventory management, and continually assessing and refining logistical processes to adapt to evolving market demands and ensure sustained competitive advantage. Primary Responsibilities: Transportation Coordination: - Coordinate transportation logistics, including scheduling shipments, selecting carriers, and optimizing routes to ensure timely delivery of goods. - Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, resolve issues and ensure smooth logistics operations. Order Fulfillment: - Assist in production output, product quality and on-time delivery to customers. - Review order fulfillment performance of planned items versus actual to monitor progress and revise scheduling and resolve problems as needed to meet targets. Inventory Management: - Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics activities using appropriate systems and tools. - Utilize established software tools or internal inventory tracking tools to record inventory movement and transactions to assist with supply and demand planning. Warehouse Maintenance: - Help ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and the physical upkeep of the warehouse by following established procedures. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping aisle, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks clear of obstructions. Safety and Compliance: - Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. - Help leadership identify areas of improvement to establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - 3-5 years of logistics experience preferred - Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 35 pounds - Proficiency in operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks - Regular and prompt attendance required Capabilities: Adaptability: - Approaches change or newness positively. - Adjust to changing procedures for accomplishing work.
