Role Description:
The Senior Software Developer (API Infrastructure) is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust API services and back-end systems that power Star Concierge Services’ platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting scalable API infrastructure, implementing secure and efficient endpoints, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability and reliability of services. The role involves collaborating with product managers, front-end developers, and operations teams to define API requirements, integrate third-party services, and support new features. The Senior Software Developer will review code, mentor other developers, establish coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling. This position also requires monitoring production systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for security, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development focused on building and maintaining API infrastructure.
Advanced Programming skills and expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).Experience designing and implementing RESTful or GraphQL APIs, including authentication, authorization, and versioning.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization or orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
Background in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality practices to ensure stable and maintainable releases.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with distributed teams, and mentor peers on technical topics.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in high-availability, scalable systems and performance optimization for API-heavy applications is a plus.
