Security Systems Maintenance Technician
Sterling Design Support Services (SDS2), a unit of iQuasar LLC for one of their clients is seeking to fill the Security Systems Maintenance Technician in Fort Meade, MD.Position: Security Systems Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Fort Meade, MD.Position Type: On-SiteResponsibilities:Responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of physical security electronic, mechanical, and CCTV equipment.The equipment includes door contacts, motion detectors, duress switches, glass break sensors, card readers, command keypads, turnstiles, request-for-exit devices, equipment enclosures, junction boxes, power supplies, media converters, cameras, camera lenses, camera mounts, copper and fiber optic wiring for all.Work may be performed in confined spaces, hazardous areas, commercial leased facilities, and/or Government-owned facilities.Work may be performed at heights on masts, towers, roofs, and lift equipment.Long-term standing or sitting may be experienced. Travel is required in and out of the Continental U.S.Shall acquire and maintain a U.S. Passport, as required.Shall obtain and maintain appropriate industry safety certifications, as required.Qualifications:Be factory trained in the installation and maintenance of industry standard IDS,ACS and/or CCTV solutions, for example LENEL, HONEYWELL, SENSORMATIC or BOSCH.Have six (6) years of experience in installation of security, video surveillance, card access and alarm systems of similar scope, type and complexity.Low voltage experience is required.Have certification as a LENEL Certified Associate (LCA).BICSI certification or equivalent is recommended.Capabilities:Installs, maintains and troubleshoots project components.Installs components and wirings on Intrusion Detection System (IDS), AccessControl Systems (ACS), and Closed-Circuit Televisions (CCTV).Ensures work is in accordance with applicable codes and standard practices.Troubleshoots, diagnoses and recommends potential solutions for system errors and failures.Install, maintain and repair IDS on Perimeter FencingConducts quality assurance (QA) on all IDS, ACS and CCTV equipment installations.Conducts work order, manual interpretation, blueprint interpretation, standards compliance and schematic diagram interpretation.Programming of new components of the security system troubleshooting in the security software as required.If you are interested in this position, please send me a copy of your latest resume at ilana.qadimee@sterlingengineering.us with the information requested below: Also, please let me know what time/number is best to call to discuss this great opportunity.
