This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability who are interested in building a career in laboratory operations.Candidates with coursework or experience in molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or healthcare are encouraged to apply. Those with relevant education, certifications, or prior lab experience will be prioritized, but all qualified applicants are welcome.Schedule Overnight Shift: 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Monday to FridayW2 hourly Team Members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.Responsibilities:Accurately enter patient and specimen data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)Verify, label, and handle biological specimens according to standard proceduresEnsure proper storage, tracking, and chain-of-custody documentationIdentify and resolve basic specimen discrepanciesMaintain compliance with HIPAA, safety, and quality control protocolsSupport laboratory operations, including sample preparation, phone calls, and logisticsMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstationCollaborate with team members to meet turnaround time and productivity goalsPerform other duties as assigned to support laboratory and team operationsRequired Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entryReliable, punctual, and capable of working independentlyComfortable handling patient specimens and learning new systemsEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to multitask and perform under pressureEducation:Coursework or a degree in molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or life sciences is highly preferredMedical or laboratory experience is a plus, but not requiredPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory environmentExperience using a Laboratory Information System (LIS)Familiarity with chain-of-custody procedures or medical data entryAll positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones.
