Supply Chain Analyst
Join our dynamic team in Sandy Springs as a pivotal player in our supply chain operations. You will be instrumental in achieving a national inventory strategy that supports our corporate sales, market share, inventory turnover, and service level goals. By optimizing inventory levels at our Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs), you'll ensure timely resolutions of constraints such as back-orders and late purchase orders, meeting all quality and campaign targets. Analyze the supply chain to explore innovative distribution paradigms and elevate our operations to new heights.ResponsibilitiesReview parts availability based on demand, determining volumes, value, and stocking locations for parts replenishment. Maintain an inventory that meets key performance targets such as service level, turnover goals, and inventory value for each assigned parts group.Exemplify "SMART" stocking strategy and make informed decisions in line with material matrix.Utilize a solid understanding of Supply Chain Principles.Negotiate and establish delivery plans to ensure nationwide availability of critical vendor back-orders and campaign parts. Update delivery commitment information for MB Dealers and Field organization.Track and report vendor service level performance as referenced in contracts.Address all retail back-orders with supplier orders, reconciling with Client and/or Parts Technical. Initiate special procurement processes and escalate critical back-orders to vendors to prevent buy-back situations and enhance customer satisfaction.Conduct root cause analysis on specific parts and propose alternative suppliers.Manage proper order management, considering vendor lead times and in-transit inventory. Determine the optimal mode of transportation to ensure logistics costs are optimized, maximizing profit margins.Manage daily order volumes and report root causes of deviations.Collaborate with i2 and planners to address any changes or conflicts in daily schedules.Ensure accurate forecasting and precise scheduling of specific assigned parts group orders. Review forecast exceptions and make adjustments for proper reordering and replenishment.Possess an in-depth understanding of forecasting techniques and inputs, making recommendations for overall forecast improvements.Analyze back-order trends and root causes, such as retailer data entry errors and lead-time delays, recommending inventory parameter changes accordingly.Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for all planning functions, leading discussions and acting as a key point of contact for planner processes and systems.Provide weekly reporting of open issues and status to the SCM Business unit.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management required.2-5 years of experience in integrated supply chain management (ISCM), finance, automotive, processing, purchasing, parts & accessories, vendor management, finance, and business.
