Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pulmonary / Medical-SurgicalLocation: Gainesville, FL 32614Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AMSchedule: Full-Time | Rotating WeekendsPosition OverviewA large acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking an experienced Pulmonary Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its inpatient care team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with pulmonary and complex medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment.The ideal candidate is clinically confident, compassionate, and able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team.Important NotesCandidates must live within a commutable distance of the facility (no more than 60 minutes)Must be comfortable with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratioIn-person interview required prior to offer (may include shadowing, facility tour, and leadership interview)Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and pulmonary patientsPerform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify patient needs and clinical prioritiesAnalyze assessment data to develop appropriate nursing diagnoses and care plansImplement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient condition and goalsAdvocate for patient safety and quality outcomes as part of the interdisciplinary care teamMonitor patient responses to treatment and intervene appropriatelyProvide clear communication and education to patients and familiesAccurately document care and clinical findings in the electronic medical recordRequired QualificationsMinimum 1 year of RN experience requiredActive Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN licenseCompact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocationGraduate of an accredited school of nursingBasic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of startAbility to work independently and manage patient care autonomouslyFor more details reach at jmckenzie@navitashealth.com
