As they continue to grow, they are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business.Position OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional to join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the daily transactional accounting activities and financial reporting, serving as a key business partner to the CEO and reporting directly to the corporate controller and broader C-Suite team. You will guide the payables and billing teams, lead the month-end close process, and help drive efficiency across the finance organization. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in the craft of accounting, thrives in an autonomous environment, and is excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing company.Position ResponsibilitiesOversee the execution of the month-end close process and preparation of the business unit financial packageManage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, GL functions, treasury functions, and liquidity managementSupervise accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate vendor paymentSupervise billing activities and maintain positive customer relationshipsManage the company's sales and use tax liabilities and paymentsPrepare weekly and monthly reporting packages with key performance indicators, analyze account fluctuations and trendsWork closely with other departments to assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash managementDownload updated sales tax rate files monthly and update systems as neededReview monthly sales tax uploads for completeness and accuracyCompile and send sales tax data reports to the external consultant for preparation of sales tax returnsAssist in various ad-hoc projects as needed, including FP&A, ROI analysis, and IT system implementation or improvementRequiredPosition QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferredMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and cost accountingProficiency in financial systems and Microsoft ExcelExpertise in managing the general ledger and month-end close proceduresExperience handling Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableSelf-starter with an extreme sense of ownership and ability to work autonomouslyStrong ability to manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across many assignmentsIf you are a hands-on accounting professional who is passionate about the work itself and thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
